好朋友生日選在 香色 ,讓我有機會來試試看香色。
從中正紀念堂一號出口沿著南海路走,彎進湖口街巷子後,四周的氛圍瞬間變得好寧靜,好像走進一區老宅,讓人有種穿越時光的錯覺。

到了店門口需按電鈴,等待服務人員迎接

I got a chance to try out the restaurant ‘Xiang Se’ when my friend decided to host her birthday party there. After getting off the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall subway station, I exit through exit 1 and followed Nanhai rd until Hukou St. When I turn into Hukou St, the atmosphere  suddenly became very serene. It is almost like time traveling to the past as I walk inside an area filled with ancient houses.

When we reach the restaurant, we need to ring the doorbell and wait for the waitresses.

▲一踏進大門,讓我們一群女生不斷驚呼,裡面完全是燈光美氣氛佳!很適合拍我們喜歡的不經意的’做作’照???

Once inside, we girls all exclaimed as the lighting and the mood of the place was just amazing. It is perfect for us to take our ‘natural’ pictures. ???

▲一走進廁所,就看到大大的金屬浴缸, 上面還點著蠟燭~

讓人感覺好像踏進一個中古世紀的人家中(我的形容好像怪怪的:p)

Inside the bathroom, you can see a huge metal bathtub with candles. It makes one feel walking into a house in the ancient times. (Like I would know :P)

The faucet was also designed specially, you need to twist to open it.

The menu has a metal tray or chopping board as base, it is quite heavy when you hold it up.

Once seated, you can tell they have put a lot of thoughts into their utensils. The napkin’s flower put a smile in my face 🙂

由帶殼杏仁、白葡萄乾、杏桃乾、新鮮蘋果、蜂蜜、蘇打餅乾、麵包和四種起司(Brie,Parmesan,Cheedar,Blue Cheese)組合而成。

切片法棍加上brie 好好吃!

右上角的杏仁單吃的話有過年家裡會出現的味道

店員推薦我們起司由淡至重口味(Brie-Parmesan-Cheddar-Blue Cheese)搭配麵包或單吃都可,
乾果類則是搭配蘇打餅乾再佐以蜂蜜,會有最完美的碰撞。
4 Cheese and bread plate costed 490NT for 4 people. The plate consisted of almonds, white raisins, dried apricot, apple, honey, crackers, baguette and 4 kind of cheese (Brie, Parmesan, Cheedar, Blue Cheese). Baguette with brie was amazing. The almonds feel like something that would appear at my house during Chinese New Year. The waitress recommended us to eat the cheese from light to heavy (Brie-Parmesan-Cheddar-Blue Cheese) with baguette or by itself.

這樣有情調的夜晚,當然要點一杯cocktail相伴

當看到Dance on White 這個名字的時候,讓我覺好俏皮。詢問過店員的意見後,她也很推薦這款呢~

漸層的配色好優雅, 要喝的時候記得拿旁邊的小湯匙攪拌, 喝起來酸酸甜甜的

With such a appealing atmosphere, how can we need accompnay it with a cocktail? When I saw the word ‘Dance on White’, it felt quite playful to me. When I inquire it with the waitress, she also recommended it to me. The layered color is very graceful, and I need to remember to stir when I want to drink it. It taste sour and sweet at the same time.

他們的天使細麵不知道為什麼吃起來有麵線的口感~

這道料理酸酸的, 還算開胃

Angle hair with mullet roes. The angle hair in this place for some reason taste like vermicelli~

This dish is quite sour and decently appetizing.

▲香色熱烘蛋 $300

外層焦酥的法式烘蛋, 配上新鮮生菜一口咬下去有濃郁的Cheese味,整個深得我心!

Omelette 300NT

The french style Omelette is crispy on the outside. Eating it with fresh salad was rich with cheese and won my heart over.

這道料理榮登我今晚的第一名!

香色FB說:

“通常Gnocchi是由馬鈴薯製成
我們則將它改良 使用台農57號地瓜製作
以純手工揉製完成 ”

難怪面疙瘩吃起來較為鬆軟綿密而且有地瓜的甘味.

紅醬是牛肋 蕃茄 舞菇 大蒜洋蔥等食材為底調製成的, 吃起來酸味適中,

用法棍去沾濃郁鹹香的紅醬, 讓人一口接一口停不下來! 就算單吃紅醬也很好吃!

Xiang Se #57 Gnocchi

This dish is the #1 dish of the night for me.

The Facebook of Xiang Se describe the dish as:

Usually Gnocchi is created with potato, but we changed it to handmade with Taiwan Farmer #57 Yam instead

The red sauce is created with rib, tomatoes, maitake mushroom, garlic, onion as base, it tasted with just the right amount of sour to it.

I could not stop myself from eating the baguette dipped with the red sauce. Eating this alone was delicious.

▲亞洲風味櫻桃鴨意大利細麵 $410

麺裡面有蓮子,筍丁,和干絲! 這些中式料理會出現的食材非常奇妙的出現在意大利麵裡面, 雖然讓人看了很驚訝, 但也意外的融入進這道料理里. 吃起來真的很亞洲風味,感覺像是在吃川菜;酸酸辣辣還有點麻麻的.

Asian style spaghetti with cherry duck

The spaghetti has lotus seed, bambom shoots, and shedded bean curd? It was mind-blowing to see asian ingredients inside a spaghetti dish, but it was even more mind-blowing how fitting the ingredient tasted in a spaghetti dish. It almost feels like eating Szechuan dishes as it is sour, spicy, and numbing.

第一口吃下燉飯, 好朋友驚呼:”好大地!” 我聽完馬上也試吃一口, 濃郁的南瓜味在嘴裡擴散開來, 伴隨著櫛瓜zucchini的清甜, 讓我忍不住一口接一口!

Earthly Risotto.

With the first bite of Risotto, my friend exclaimed “Wow, so earthly”, when I hear this, I tried a bite right away. The rich pumpkin taste spread in y mouth along with the sweetness of zucchini. This prompted me bite after bite.

▲每個角落拍起來都非常有意境,都可以細細品味。

All the corner of the restaurant is filled with great atmosphere as you can see from the picture, something we can take our time to enjoy.

非常推薦這裡和好朋友一起來聚餐, 或者情侶約會也很適合! 雖然價位偏貴, 但是偶爾來享受一下這裡的氣氛, 放鬆一下也不錯 🙂

I highly recommended eating here with friends or even dating with your significant others. Even though its on the expensive side, it is still good to come here occasionally to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the place.

(第一次造訪 三井Cuisine M.)

年假我來了 ?

好久沒有過年了,至從去美國當留學生後算一算我已經六年沒有在家過年了!對於久違的在家過年感到異常興奮???

放年假的第一天就用美食來犒賞自己?

犒賞的美食就選定三井系列的Cuisine M。

上網先做了一下功課,發現三井集團下面有7個分店:

三井本館、上乘三井、三井極壽司(農安街)、明水三井、三井選品(明水路)、三井料理美術館(敦化南路)、三井 cuisine m(信義店)。每一家的Menu都不太一樣(但應該都很好吃?)最後決定選擇位在信義計畫區的Cuisine M。

Cuisine M位在信義區花旗大樓一樓的Lobby服務台右側的小門中,大門看起來很不起眼,推開門口感覺進入一個不一樣的世界。

餐廳裡面採用黑色調加上挑高寬敞的空間設計顯得整個餐廳華麗又低調。

點餐可以單點或者選固定價位的omakase,師傅會根據當日食材來進行搭配。

我們當天選擇一個人$1500的午餐套餐。Yay~~ Chinese New Year Vacation~!

Yay~~ Chinese New Year Vacation~!?

Its been a while since my last Chinese New Year vacation. How time flies! 6 years have passed I left Taiwan to study in the states. I am quite excited for the long-awaited Chinese New Year vacation with family in Taiwan!

What better to kick-off the Chinese New Year vacation with delicious food? We have chosen 三井(Matsui) Cusine M as the New Year treat. We first did our homework online and found that Matsui Corp has 7 restaurants. You can check them out here. The menu of each restaurant is quit differnet (I’m sure it’s tasty). We decided to give Cuisine M a try.

放筷子的金色架子好精緻,完全呼應了整間的氛圍。

The golden chopstick holder is well made, perfect compliment to the atmostphere.

第一道料理是生魚片。

服務生介紹我們從白色的肉吃到深色的肉。

The first dish is sashimi, the server was also kind enough to suggest us to eat from lighter-colored fish to darker-colored fish.

每一片生魚片都切得大小適中,剛好一口一片。重點是都好新鮮,入口即化!

Every piece of sashimi was perfectly cut, so fresh and melts in your mouth.

第二道料理是烤明蝦。

蝦肉很甜很Q彈,蝦頭裡面還有滿滿的膏!

The second dish is roasted prawns. It was sweet and chewy, the prawn head is also filled with paste.

第三道料理是香煎鱈魚

表皮煎的酥脆,配上味增醬,讓人停不下來!

The third dish is fried cod with miso sauce. The skin is quite crispy, and I just could not stop eating

鮑魚做成的日式沙拉很爽口開胃,而且鮑魚已經都先切好, 吃起來很方便.

The abalone japanese-style salad was very appetizing. The abalone was already cut and easy to consume.

Cuisine M不僅海鮮鮮甜好吃,煎牛排也讓人驚艷!外焦內軟的牛排超好吃!完全不需要旁邊的沾醬。

Ok, not only has Cusine M impressed me with its seafood, I was equally stunned with the steak. The crispy but tender steak was very delicious. To be honest, the steak sauce was completely unnecessary.

手卷是現做現上,這樣才可以吃到脆脆的海苔,好貼心?

The hand roll was made and served right away so we can eat it while the seeweed is still crispy. Good service!

最後一道是干貝豆腐湯。 很清爽,豆腐有種特殊的口感,綿綿的,感覺得出主廚的用心。

The last main dish is scallop tofu soup. It is very refreshing and the tofu has a special spongy texture to it. I can taste how Chef has put much attention and thought into this dish.

最後以招待的水果,蛋糕,和咖啡劃下完美的句點???

吃完後心裡默默的決定以後一定還要再來光臨三井餐廳!

Finally, the night was finished with fruit, cake, and coffee. The perfect ending to the perfect meal. ???

I am sure I will be back for more of this goodness!
