『小南亭 和風洋食』位在江南街，而江南街是我午休沒帶便當的美食街。 當然要來嘗試看看 🙂
“Kiosk South” is located on Jiangnan St. Jiangnan street is my go-to place for lunch when I do not bring my own lunch to work. Of course, this is a must-try for me 🙂
It is about 6-7 minutes walk from Wenhu line’s Gangqian subway station.
The entrance has a huge menu with pictures.
You should not miss this place due to the entrance’s prominent red lantern.
The restaurant’s decoration is somewhat plain, but you can see the Japanese style incorporated.
Q&A for ordering
Menu (Minimum NT200 per person, do not charge a service tip)
Self-serve hot tea. Be careful since the tea is quite hot.
There are basic seasonings on the table.
▲骰子牛肉起司歐姆蛋包咖喱飯 Diced beef cheese omelet curry $320
The melted cheese on top of the omelet looks so evil (in a good way) and appetizing! The omelet and the melted cheese has a slippery texture to it and goes down very easily. I also didn’t get tired of eating this dish as it was not as heavy as I thought it would be. The diced beef was cooked just right. The outside is crispy while the inside stayed tender. The beef did not taste too dry or too hard. After finishing this meal, I was full and satisfied.
▲骰子牛肉日式定食 Diced Beef Japanese Set Meal $270
In comparison, the Japanese set meal is healthier. Salad is included.
▲鯖魚日式定食 Mackerel Japanese Meal $270
The grilled mackerel is what the owner recommended! I had planned to eat something on the lighter side for lunch anyway, otherwise I tend to get really sleepy in the afternoon during work. The grilled mackerel way exceeded my expectation. It tasted tender and juicy! I am very satisfied!
The food at Kiosk South is as advertised as their sign: nothing bad!
We were satisfied with the meals we have tried today! The omelet curry and grilled mackerel are all above standards. The portion is also good-sized. Even though the price for lunch is on the expensive side, but the quality of the ingredients and meal make me still feel it is still a good bang for my buck. Overall the restaurant is clean and tidy, the service is good too. The owner showed passion explaining their dishes to us, I can feel the confidence he has about their food. Note: They require a minimum spending of $200 per person and does not charge an extra service fee. I recommend this place to everyone!
