姜虎東白丁烤肉 강호동백정  Kang Ho Dong Baek Jeong


韓國烤肉是來韓國必吃的美食之一。之前在美國我就很愛吃韓國烤肉,想說來吃吃看真正韓國的烤肉和在美國吃的韓國烤肉有什麼不一樣。

今晚選擇來吃韓國主持人姜虎東開的烤肉店。姜虎東開設的店家有「678육칠팔烤肉」和「姜虎東白丁烤肉(屠夫烤肉) (강호동백정)」。網路上的網友介紹說「678육칠팔烤肉」走高價位以高檔韓牛為主。而我們今天來到的「姜虎東白丁烤肉(屠夫烤肉) (강호동백정)」則屬於比較平價親民。

Korean BBQ is something you must have when you come to Korea. Korean BBQ is already one of my favorites while I was in America. Here I can try to see the difference between authentic Korean BBQ vs Korean BBQ in the states.

Tonight, we choose to eat at a Korean BBQ store opened by Korean show host ‘Kang Ho Dong’. Kang Ho Dong has two restaurants, 678 and Baek Jeong. From the internet, we found out that 678 is very pricey due to the high-quality of the meat. The Baek Jeong we came to today is slightly easier on your wallet.

▲「姜虎東白丁烤肉 강호동백정」位在地鐵4號線424明洞站8號出口出來直走,第一個路口左轉往下直走。之後在第三個路口右轉進入巷內,就可看到餐廳在左手邊。 有中文招牌和大大的姜虎東人形立牌。應該不容易錯過。
‘Kang Ho Dong Baek Jeong’ is located on the subway 4th line 424 Mingdong Station 8th exit. Exit straight and take a left at the first intersection, and then turn right into the alley at the 3rd intersection, you can see the restaurant on your left side. They have Chinese billboards and a life-size ‘Kang Ho Dong’ sign, you shouldn’t miss it.

從左往右:

和風醬: 裡面有洋蔥,吃起來酸甜酸甜的很清爽,而且沒有洋蔥的辣味。

麻油加鹽: 這是我最喜歡的沾料。特別是配牛肉

甜豆瓣醬: 我喜歡豬肉沾這個

生蔥絲: 攪拌均勻後可以搭配肉一起吃

生菜: 這裡的生菜有扮有醬汁吃起來酸酸甜甜的,跟美國沒有醬汁的生菜比起來,很特別。但是生菜有點太小了,不太好包肉。

From left to right:

Japanese-style sauce: There are onions in it, tasted sour, sweet and quite refreshing without the spiciness of onions.

Sesame oil and salt: This was my favorite dipping sauce, especially with beef.

Sweet Bean Paste: I love this with pork

Raw shredded onions: After stirring, you can eat it with meat

Lettuce: The lettuce has sauce on it which makes it taste sour and sweet. Very special compared to korean bbq restaurants in states that doesn’t have any sauce. However, the lettuce is kind of small and not that easy to pack meats in it.

▲這樣的便當是韓國的傳統食物,吃之前要蓋上盒子,拿起來用力的搖,搖完之後就像讓食材均勻混合。這樣的搖晃,讓簡單的食材變得超級美味。
The bento is traditional Korean food, you should close the box and shake it as hard as you can to mix the ingredients well. The shaking cause the simple ingredients to come together to form an amazing meal.

▲離肉很近的罩子其實是抽油煙機,這麼近的去抽油煙味,吃完身上完全沒有烤肉味!開心?不然我很怕頭髮吸油味。
The cover is a vent hood that fans out the air closely, we did not have BBQ smell on us even after finishing the meal. I am so happy since I hate when my hair has BBQ smell in it.

照片上看起來厚厚肥肉的豬肉,烤完之後完全吃不出肥肉的油膩感。簡單的鹽調味,原味的肉吃得出肉質的新鮮。搭配沾料和配菜來吃,更加好吃刷嘴。
You can see the thick and fat pork meat in the picture, after cooking it, we did not taste the fat’s oily taste in it. You can taste the freshness of the meat by only adding salt to it. If you add dipping sauce and side dishes to it, its even more delicious.

▲原味雪花肉是店內最貴的單點肉品。但看那個油花分佈就知道為什麼是最貴的了。放在烤盤上吱吱作響。等不及來嘗試這個美味.
Chuck Flap Tail is the most expensive meat in the restaurant, but you can see why just by looking at it. I couldn’t wait to give it a try while it is sizzling on the grill.

▲比起豬肉,牛肉的肉質更加細緻,吃起來更香!有種可以再點一盤來吃的衝動!
Compared to pork, the beef seems to be of more quality and tastier, almost feel like ordering anothert plate.

心得

在姜虎東吃,店員會來幫忙烤,但在美國的不會(因為美國人工比較貴嗎??)。店員會先烤豬肉再烤牛肉,烤豬肉和牛肉的網也不一樣。感覺在韓國吃韓國烤肉比較講究。抽油煙機離肉很近,油煙味完全被抽掉,吃完不會全身臭臭的好開心!肉本身來說,吃起來的感覺也不一樣,韓國吃的肉質比起美國吃的要更優質。沾料的部份我覺得差不多。

Verdict

Eating at Kang Ho Dong, the waitress will come and help you grill. This doesn’t happen in the states (maybe its more expensive to have employees do that in the states? ?) The waitress will grill pork then beef. The net for grilling pork and beef is also different. I feel like eating korean BBQ at Korea seems to be more exquisite. The fact that we don’t stink of BBQ due to the close vent hood is a big plus. The meat is also very delicious compared to the meat in the states. As for dipping sauce, its about the same.
