After an afternoon tea at the Eastern District, we were craving for something savory. We then decided to come to WuLiuShou located at Civic Blvd to eat and continue chatting.
▲吳留手樓上的位子不是很多, 我們來的時候是禮拜天的六點~因為剛開店, 所以客人還不是很多, 但我們吃完離開時, 樓上樓下都坐滿了人. 還有客人在外面等位.
There aren’t many seats upstair. We came at a Sunday 6pm when the store just opened, so there aren’t many customers yet. However, when we finished eating, the place was packed both upstair and downstair with people waiting outside.
This WuLiuShou store has 2 floors, we got to seat downstair.
The downstair has a decent-sized space
They use empty sake bottles as decoration.
Menu, the minimum charge person is $500 with an extra 10% service charge.
Here are the house-made five-spice powder and Japanese seven-spice powder (shichimi) for the extra kick if you need.
Edamame on the house, good appetizer.

I fell in love with the yuzu shu’s flavorful yuzu taste since giving it a try at Party Team Yakitori Caffe & Bistro

喝起來幾乎沒有酒精味, 比較像蘋果汁. 推薦給不喜歡酒精味的朋友.
I almost couldn’t taste the alcohol in this one, it is more like apple juice. Highly recommend those who don’t like the taste of alcohol.
▲鹽烤無骨牛小排 Salt-baked boneless short ribs $200/2串 /2 skewers
the Salt-baked boneless short ribs was very tender, the sauce at the surface is sweet and delicious.
▲醬燒牛五花肉串 sauce-baked beef shank skewer $200/2串 /2 skewers
The sauce-baked beef shank skewer was covered by white sesame, looks tasty already. The beef was baked perfectly and not too old. The salty and sweet sauce is well flavored. I recommended giving this a try.
▲明太子白醬炒烏龍 Udon with alfredo sauce and cod roe $180/份
I highly recommend this dish! You should stir the cod roe in the middle into the udon before eating it. The udon was cooked just right, quite chewy but not too soft. The sauce was plentiful and every strand of udon was covered by the cod roe alfredo sauce. the alfredo sauce was creamy and you can taste the cod roe with every bite, I literally could not stop eating this!
▲鹽烤杏鮑菇 Salt-baked King Mushroom $100/2串 / 2 skewers
The baked king mushroom wasn’t too dry and kept lots of its moistures and king’s mushroom taste
▲碳烤肥腸 roasted intestine $200/份
The intestine was braised first and then baked for a crispy surface and soft inside. It was very flavorful and not too oily.
▲香烤雞翅 Baked Chicken Wing $100/2串 /2 skewers
The chicken skin was baked just right, not too soft and not too crispy. The meat is tender.
▲鹽烤松板豬 Salt-baked Matsusaka Pork $130/2串/ 2 skewers
Matsusaka pork’s meat is lean and not too oily.
▲櫻花蝦炒高麗菜 Stir-fry cabbage with sakura shrimp$160/份
Stir-fry cabbage with sakura shrimp is one of my favorite dish, the crispy cabbage taste even sweeter due to the salty sakura shrimp. After all the meats, need some veggies to balance it ?
▲明太子雞肉串 Cod roe covered chicken skewers $120/2串/2 skewers
The cod roe at the surface is slightly burnt. While the thick layer of cod roe looks amazing, I was slightly disappointed when I had a bite. The chicken was too dry and also separate away from the cod roe once bitten off the skewer.

Don’t have much recollection about this dish. When I remember to take a picture, it had already been eaten. ?
▲酥炸軟殼蟹 Fried soft crab $220/份
I recommend this dish. Lots of crab meat. The outside is crispy while the inside is tender.
▲酥炸雞軟骨 Fried chicken soft bone $150/份
The fried crispy soft bone smelled sooo good. The skin also didn’t get soft fast.
▲鹽烤節瓜 Salt-baked squash $80/2串/2 skewers
I love squash. The baked squash is still refreshing and delicious and the salt brings out more of squash’s sweetness. I recommend this dish.
▲鹽烤雞肉蔥串 Salt-baked chicken and onion skewer $120/2串/ 2 skewers
The onions was slightly too burnt, but the chicken was baked just right. You can taste the crispy chicken skin and tender chicken meat, and juicy as well.
Overall, I prefer Party Team Yakitori Caffe & Bistro‘s skewers, but WuLiuShou’s pricing is slightly cheaper. Overall, the skewers are decent. I would recommend getting the salt-baked beef shank, fried soft crab, salt-baked squash. You must try the udon with alfredo sauce and cod roe as well. This place gets quite busy, I would make a reservation first if you want to give it a try
